Pure prickly pear seed oil is an oil extracted from the seeds of the fruit by cold pressing. It differs from an oily macerate, which is an infusion of the plant in another oil.

It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin. It is non-comedogenic, which means it does not clog pores and can be used safely even on problem skin. Prickly pear oil even soothes irritation.

Prickly pear flower is rich in flavols, flavones, and phenolic acids, particularly gallic acid, a powerful antioxidant. It helps prevent skin aging, soothes sensitive skin, reduces dark spots, and evens out skin tone. It also provides natural protection against external aggressions.

Unlike traditional methods, especially those from Morocco, which often press too early, our oil is far more concentrated in active compounds. It shows an exceptional content of phenolic compounds: 444 mg of gallic acid per gram of oil, an absolute record.

Yes. Our bottle isn't just clear glass — it's soda-lime glass with a frosted (matte) surface. This treatment filters out most UV rays and blue light (artificial lighting, bathroom light, etc.), just like classic amber glass does, but without tinting the glass or hiding the product's appearance.

Why most brands use amber bottles

Amber glass is traditionally used because its tint filters UV rays and blue light, with an effectiveness glass suppliers claim is close to 99%. This filtering limits oxidation of the contents — a process that degrades vegetable oils and reduces their antioxidant properties over time — but it requires a tinted coating that complicates recycling.

The glass itself also protects the formula

Beyond light, glass is a chemically inert material: it doesn't let the oil's molecules diffuse through the container wall, unlike some plastics, and it doesn't react with the vegetable or essential oils in the product. No degradation linked to the packaging is observed over time.

A more responsible choice, too

Frosted clear glass is also easier to recycle: it can be melted down to become clear glass again, in a closed loop. Amber glass, tinted through a glass treatment, complicates this recycling and limits the uses of the recycled glass.
