Research and Development

SOWÉ Botanic Lab benefits from funding under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), aimed at supporting the development of innovation and competitiveness of Portuguese companies.

This project aims to strengthen our research and development capacity in biomimetic cosmetics, in partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon, contributing to the transition to a more sustainable and resilient economy.

Strengthening research and development in natural and biomimetic cosmetics

The project aims to develop new active ingredients and formulations of plant origin, based on the biological processes of the skin, promoting more effective, safe and sustainable cosmetic solutions.
This initiative strengthens the link between science and industry, fostering technological innovation and contributing to more responsible cosmetics, aligned with the ecological transition.

Project Objectives

Strengthen R&D capacity in biomimetic cosmetics and:

• Develop new innovative natural active ingredients and formulations
• Validate efficacy and safety through laboratory research
• Strengthen the partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon
• Increase the competitiveness and internationalization of the brand
• Contribute to a greener and circular economy
