Bitter orange essential oil

Botany: 

Petitgrain comes from the leaves of the bigaradier (bitter orange tree), a tree native to Asia. The bitter orange tree is present in particular in France, Italy, Egypt but also in Morocco. 

Manufacturing:

Petitgrain bigarade essential oil comes from steam distillation leaves and small fresh twigs of the bigaradier.

Properties:

The fruit of the bitter orange tree is not edible by humans, nevertheless it is a very popular tree in perfumery and cosmetology. Indeed, petitgrain is ideal for acne-prone skin, since its healing effect allows it to fight against acne and wounds. It is an anti-inflammatory that revitalizes the skin. It regulates excess sebum while providing a fresh and soft smell.
