Camphor tree, a large legendary and thousand-year-old tree

The camphor tree, also known as Shiu wood or Chinese Laurel, is a tree from the laurel family. Originally from Asia, this tree has spread to other continents, making it possible to offer different essential oils depending on the geographical origin and the part of the tree. Certain Asian camphor trees allow the production of essential oil from Ho wood, while camphor trees from Madagascar allow the extraction of Ravintsara, an equally renowned essential oil.

Manufacturing of Shiu wood (Hö wood) essential oil

Ho wood essential oil comes from the distillation obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and branches of Cinnamomum camphora, the camphor tree native to China with a linalool chemotype.

Properties of Shiu wood (Hö wood) essential oil

Very close to rosewood essential oil, of which it shares the same properties and the same composition, rich in linalool. It is therefore ideal for taking care of your skin and your health.
