Hô wood (essential oil)

Nom latin: Cinnamomum camphora CT linalol.

Actifs: Regenerating, Radiant skin, Astringent, Purifying, Anti-wrinkle.

Botany:

Camphor, also known as Shiu Wood or Chinese Laurel, is a tree in the laurel family. Originally from Asia, this tree has spread to other continents, allowing for different essential oils to be produced depending on the geographical origin and the part of the tree. Some Asian camphor trees allow the production of Hô wood essential oil, while Malagasy camphor trees allow the extraction of Ravintsara, an equally renowned essential oil.

Manufacturing:

Hô wood essential oil comes from the steam distillation of the bark of the Chinese Laurel.

Properties:

Hô wood has astringent properties. It is ideal for mature skin to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. It is a powerful skin regenerator. Its properties are very similar to those of Rosewood, however the latter is threatened with extinction. Thus, Hô wood essential oil is an excellent alternative.
